Breast Of Blooms is a piece created from the heart, it was made with love. Its a very different design for me & a new style of work.
 
I handpainted the beautiful textured watercolour paper with my nanas watercolour paints and it creates a simple but meaningful backdrop for the art work.
 
The back drop for me represents the ebbs and flows of life while honouring the handmade element of all my creations. The female silhouette is a symbol of human life & how we live. It is a symbol of how we are so delicate and can be yet so strong, to shatter and still remain intact. I was inspired to create this piece last October and I created it in March.
 
As we know October is Breast cancer awarness month and I hope this piece will encourage you to get checked! The art work has hidden words of hope within it to encourage us to check in both with ourselves and our bodies.
