About
Growing up in the countryside I found my love for flora and fauna quite quickly.
I was always drawn to wild and natural things, mesmerized by the bright yellow daffodils blowing in the wind, colourful scented sweet pea, large blousy garden roses, and unfurling ferns. As a child, I always played around with pressed flowers that my mum Helen or grandmother Nancy had pressed from the hedgerow.
.
My love for flowers led me to work in Lawless Flowers, Roches St, Limerick for over four years alongside my Uncle Dan Lawless where I gained extensive knowledge and trained as a florist. My background in floristry helps me press each bouquet. I love to compete in floristry competitions and in 2018 I was over the moon to win a silver medal at Bloom in the park, Dublin - after paying homage to my grandmother Nancy Lawless. I love to demonstrate or give floristry classes and travel to many different county's to demonstrate to different flower clubs and for events.
In 2016 l had a dream of creating bespoke pieces of art from floral bouquets and Pressed Flowers by Nell started at my kitchen table in Clonlara, Co. Clare in 2016 and moved to 54 Roches St, Limerick city, Ireland in 2020.
Since 2016 l have worked closely with many brides, restaurants and more offering a bespoke remembrance gift to last a lifetime with stylish simplicity, exquisite attention to detail and a passion for flowers that was handed down through the generations.
I am incredibly proud to say that our bouquets are made in Ireland to last forever and loved everywhere!

How It Works
Preserving your special memories.
Pressed flowers by Nell presses any type of flowers from wedding bouquets, sympathy flowers, birthday bouquets, debs corsages, flowers from your favorite place in the world, a special flower from your garden, or a bouquet you bought for yourself.
Each special flower or bouquet needs to be given to Nell within seven days for the best results, it is possible to press bouquets that are much older too But for best results as soon as possible is recommended. Nell takes apart the flower or bouquet petal by petal and each petal or leaf is pressed individually with love and exquisite attention to detail by Nell in her studio.
The method used to press the flowers is 100% natural due to this it takes several weeks for the special flowers to be pressed. There is a large range of options for the color of the mountboard that the flowers will be glued onto. Photos of a special day or a loved one can also be placed beside the flowers along with a quote or special poem.
The pressed bouquet is then taken to a local professional framer to be framed in a frame of your choice.
Nell works closely with Thomas street Framers, Limerick who are amazing at what they do, have a large selection, and frame each bouquet with care to last.
